About us
Sıcak Fırın is a neighbourhood bakery on a Kuzguncuk slope, where three generations have tended the same stone oven. We dip every simit in molasses water and coat it with sesame by hand, and roll out our pastry sheets on the counter each morning.
Our flour comes from a small mill in Thrace and we feed our sourdough starter every day. Bread left at closing time goes to the neighbourhood soup kitchen.
